Welcoming a new baby into your family is one of life’s most beautiful and tender moments. As your photographer, my goal is to make capturing those first days as relaxed and meaningful as possible. Knowing what to expect can help you feel confident, calm, and ready to enjoy the experience.


Before the Session


to book, i send a contract and an invoice, there is a $50 deposit to save your place on my calendar.


We’ll discuss an ideal time frame (typically within the first 7–21 days of your baby’s life) when you are comfortable, your home is ready, and we can work around your baby’s rhythm.


You’ll get a short questionnaire so I can tailor the session to your family: color scheme, sibling considerations, any special details you’d like included.


once your baby is born, send me a message and we will schedule a specific day and time for your session.


The Day of the Session


When I arrive at your home, I’ll take a few minutes to quietly get set up and find the best light. Then we’ll simply follow your baby’s lead.


If your baby is awake, we’ll usually start with family moments—soft cuddles, little yawns, the way you look at each other in these new, love-filled days. If your baby is sleeping, we’ll begin with the more detailed, individual photos—tiny fingers and toes, those fresh newborn features you’ll never want to forget.


You’ll see relaxed prompts: maybe a soft wrap, a sweet cuddle with you, quiet sibling interactions, moments of parents and baby together. There’s no rush. You won’t feel like you’re posing for hours.


Sessions usually last about an hour to an hour and a half, but we always take our time. If your baby needs feeding, diaper changes, or a snuggle break — we stop. This is your home, your time, your baby.


After the Session


Within 2–3 weeks, you’ll receive a beautifully edited gallery of your images. Typically with 75–100 images from your session. You’ll have access to download all of your images and can easily share them with family and friends.


More than anything, my hope is that these photos help you hold on to this fleeting, beautiful season—the love, the calm, the wonder of new life.
